Mesopotamian cosmology: Sky (Anu), Earth (Ki), Sea (Absu), and the underworld (Kur or Irkalla)

Ki is the Mesopotamian goddess of the earth, who is the consort of Anu, the god of the sky, and mother of the gods Enlil and Ninlil. She resembles the common Earth-mother archetype, similar to Greek Gaea, Roman Terra, Slavic Zemyna, Finnish Akka and Aztec Coatlicue.
