Huitzilopochtli, also known as the Hummingbird of the South, was one of the four principal gods in the Aztec pantheon, and was often seen as a deity of the Sun and patron god of the Aztec capital Tenochtitlán. He was spawned by Ometeotl and was brother Quetzalcoatl, Tezcatlipoca and Xipe Totec.
